The average import price for tennis, badminton and similar racquets; whether or not strung stood at $25.6 per unit in December 2023, with an increase of 2.4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in August 2023 an increase of 206% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $27.6 per unit in October 2023; however, from November 2023 to December 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was France ($38.2 per unit), while the price for the UK ($8.0 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+11.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
