Over the last eleven months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.5%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2023 when the average import price increased by 15% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $11,171 per ton in December 2023, and then dropped modestly in the following month.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2024, the countries with the highest prices were Australia ($11,171 per ton) and the United States ($11,171 per ton), while the price for China ($11,171 per ton) and the UK ($11,171 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From February 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (+1.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Israel (+14.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
