Price for Synthetic Rubber (Excluding Latex) in Thailand (FOB) - 2023
The average synthetic rubber (excluding latex) export price stood at $1,498 per ton in September 2023, picking up by 3.8% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in March 2023 an increase of 6.4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $1,600 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to September 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major external markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($2,081 per ton), while the average price for exports to China ($1,414 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Indonesia (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The average synthetic rubber (excluding latex) import price stood at $2,143 per ton in September 2023, with an increase of 2.7% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, showed a pronounced shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in October 2022 when the average import price increased by 2.8% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $2,842 per ton. From November 2022 to September 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Japan ($3,339 per ton), while the price for Russia ($1,330 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Singapore (-0.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
