The average import price for sugars; fructose, chemically pure, in solid form stood at $1,690 per ton in July 2023, picking up by 6.9% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 an increase of 6,104% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $103K per ton. From March 2023 to July 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($1,613 per ton), while the price for China totaled $1,540 per ton.

From January 2023 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+0.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
