In October 2023, the average export price for sugar confectionery; (excluding chewing gum, including white chocolate), not containing cocoa amounted to $4,295 per ton, picking up by 3.5% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.5%. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 an increase of 11% m-o-m. The export price peaked in October 2023.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Austria ($6,202 per ton), while the average price for exports to Spain ($2,450 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+3.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($6,094 per ton), while the price for Ukraine ($2,024 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+4.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
