The average steel, alloy; semi-finished products export price stood at $903 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 26% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated pronounced growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, steel, alloy; semi-finished products export price decreased by -9.3% against 2018 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the average export price increased by 77% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $996 per ton. Overall, the import price, however, showed a pronounced downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 168% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $5,103 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
