The average import price for spices; ginger, neither crushed nor ground stood at $2,312 per ton in 2022, falling by -17.3% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average import price increased by 36% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $3,749 per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Denmark (+10.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
