The average smoked fish, incl. fillets export price stood at $8,939 per ton in July 2023, increasing by 9.6% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1%. The growth pace was the most rapid in June 2023 an increase of 25% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $8,950 per ton in January 2023; afterwards, it flattened through to July 2023.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Japan ($11,085 per ton), while the average price for exports to Nigeria ($4,002 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Australia (+1.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
