In September 2023, the average import price for silicates; commercial alkali metal silicateses amounted to $530 per ton, surging by 7.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a mild setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in December 2022 an increase of 52% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $773 per ton. From January 2023 to September 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Austria ($1,106 per ton), while the price for Iran ($276 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Austria (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In general, the export price continues to indicate notable growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 413% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $2,470 per ton. From May 2023 to September 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Azerbaijan ($2,230 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bulgaria ($275 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+242.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
