In 2022, the average export price for quartz; other than natural sandses amounted to $376 per ton, declining by -43.1% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 730% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $661 per ton, and then declined rapidly in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($1,392 per ton), while the average price for exports to Croatia ($105 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
