In December 2023, the average import price for propylene, other olefin polymers; propylene copolymers in primary formses amounted to $1,753 per ton, almost unchanged from the previous month. In general, the import price, however, saw a mild setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in June 2023 when the average import price increased by 3.2% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $1,999 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to December 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

The export price peaked at $3,988 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to December 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($2,383 per ton), while the average price for exports to Sweden ($2,100 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From January 2023 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Brazil (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
