In October 2023, the average import price for propylene, other olefin polymers; propylene copolymers in primary formses amounted to $1,929 per ton, picking up by 4.8% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2023 when the average import price increased by 5.7% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $2,061 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to October 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for the United States.

From December 2022 to October 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for the United States amounted to -0.5% per month.

Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $1,724 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to October 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Belgium ($2,890 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United States ($1,034 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+4.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
