The average import price for poultry; live, ducks, geese, turkeys and guinea fowls, weighing more than 185g meat stood at $9.9 per unit in 2022, surging by 109% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a noticeable curtailment. The import price peaked at $12 per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($15 per unit), while the price for Malaysia ($2.9 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2014 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+26.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

Imports peaked at 486K units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, imports of poultry; live, ducks, geese, turkeys and guinea fowls, weighing more than 185g meat surged to $1.7M in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate a deep contraction. Over the period under review, imports of hit record highs at $2.5M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
