In October 2023, the average import price for poultry fat; other than that of heading 0209 or 1503 meat amounted to $1,037 per ton, flattening at the previous month. In general, the import price, however, showed a mild slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 an increase of 21% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $1,249 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to October 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Poland ($961 per ton), while the average price for exports to Sweden totaled $925 per ton.

From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Denmark (0.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2022, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in purchases abroad of poultry fat; other than that of heading 0209 or 1503 meat, when their volume increased by 19% to 5.2K tons. In general, imports, however, recorded a deep setback.

In value terms, imports of poultry fat; other than that of heading 0209 or 1503 meat soared to $6.8M in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated a prominent increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +13.5% over the last three-year period.
