Price for Polyolefins Other than Polypropylene in Russia (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average polyolefins other than polypropylene import price amounted to $1,891 per ton, shrinking by -10.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the average import price increased by 31%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $2,302 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($3,292 per ton), while the price for Azerbaijan ($1,305 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+5.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average polyolefins other than polypropylene export price amounted to $1,741 per ton, falling by -11% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a abrupt shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the average export price increased by 35%. The export price peaked at $3,413 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($2,966 per ton), while the average price for exports to China ($1,130 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ecuador (+26.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Imports of Polyolefins Other than Polypropylene in Russia
After three years of growth, purchases abroad of polyolefins other than polypropylene decreased by -8.6% to 114K tons in 2022. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.0% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations in certain years.
