The average export price for polymers of propylene or of other olefins, in primary formses stood at $1,412 per ton in November 2023, increasing by 3.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2023 when the average export price increased by 7.9% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1,741 per ton. From February 2023 to November 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($3,077 per ton), while the average price for exports to China ($1,091 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Taiwan (Chinese) (+0.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

As a result, import price attained the peak level of $1,559 per ton. From January 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($3,444 per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($978 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Korea (-0.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
