The average export price for platinum; unwrought or in semi-manufactured formses stood at $64,403,795 per ton in 2022, which is down by -18.5% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average export price increased by 59% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $79,051,486 per ton in 2021, and then shrank markedly in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($85,533,552 per ton), while the average price for exports to Hong Kong SAR ($23,243,810 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In general, the import price, however, recorded a perceptible contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2023 an increase of 10% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $67.6M per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to October 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the UK ($51.8M per ton), while the price for Switzerland ($33.5M per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Switzerland (-0.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
