The average export price for pitch; obtained from coal tar or from other mineral tarses stood at $904 per ton in July 2023, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous month. Overall, the import price recorded a abrupt decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 32% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $1,668 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to July 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
