In 2022, the average import price for photographic plates, film, paper, paperboard and textiles, exposed but not developeds amounted to $13 per square meter, with an increase of 24% against the previous year. In general, import price indicated a slight expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, import price for photographic plates, film, paper, paperboard and textiles, exposed but not developeds increased by +115.7% against 2018 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 119% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $15 per square meter in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, the average export price for photographic plates, film, paper, paperboard and textiles, exposed but not developeds amounted to $1.2 per square meter, declining by -50.3% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, enjoyed a modest expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average export price increased by 207%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $31 per square meter. From 2020 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Romania.

From 2014 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Romania amounted to -33.1% per year.

After two years of decline, overseas purchases of photographic plates, film, paper, paperboard and textiles, exposed but not developeds increased by 912% to 172 square meters in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a significant decline. Imports peaked at 518 square meters in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, imports of photographic plates, film, paper, paperboard and textiles, exposed but not developeds skyrocketed to $2.2K in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a precipitous descent. Over the period under review, imports of hit record highs at $6.6K in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, shipments abroad of photographic plates, film, paper, paperboard and textiles, exposed but not developeds decreased by -5.4% to 542 square meters for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. In general, exports, however, showed significant growth. Over the period under review, the exports of reached the maximum at 573 square meters in 2021, and then fell in the following year.

In value terms, exports of photographic plates, film, paper, paperboard and textiles, exposed but not developeds declined remarkably to $639 in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded a dramatic downturn. The exports peaked at $4.2K in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
