In 2022, the average import price for photographic paper, paperboard and textiles; sensitised, unexposeds amounted to $0.7 per square meter, reducing by -68.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average import price increased by 76%. The import price peaked at $2.5 per square meter in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($1.8 per square meter), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($0.2 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+6.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average export price for photographic paper, paperboard and textiles; sensitised, unexposeds amounted to $1 per square meter, with an increase of 8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a abrupt decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 41% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $6.3 per square meter. From 2014 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was India ($0.8 per square meter), while the average price for exports to Malaysia stood at $0.1 per square meter.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to India (-15.5%).

In 2022, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in overseas purchases of photographic paper, paperboard and textiles; sensitised, unexposeds, when their volume increased by 41% to 459K square meters. Overall, imports, however, recorded a drastic downturn. Over the period under review, imports of reached the maximum at 800K square meters in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, imports of photographic paper, paperboard and textiles; sensitised, unexposeds shrank rapidly to $316K in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a sharp decrease. The smallest decline of -7.6% was in 2020. Imports peaked at $1.3M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
