In 2022, the average import price for photographic paper, paperboard and textiles; sensitised, unexposeds amounted to $2.1 per square meter, rising by 7.5% against the previous year. In general, import price indicated a notable expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, import price for photographic paper, paperboard and textiles; sensitised, unexposeds decreased by -3.8% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average import price increased by 66%. The import price peaked at $2.2 per square meter in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($4.7 per square meter), while the price for China ($1.5 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Korea (+18.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Overall, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the average export price increased by 68% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $4.4 per square meter in 2021, and then contracted significantly in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Guatemala ($5.1 per square meter), while the average price for exports to Guyana ($1 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Paraguay (+192.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

For the third year in a row, Panama recorded decline in overseas purchases of photographic paper, paperboard and textiles; sensitised, unexposeds, which decreased by -3.8% to 146K square meters in 2022. Overall, imports showed a dramatic downturn. Imports peaked at 547K square meters in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, imports of photographic paper, paperboard and textiles; sensitised, unexposeds expanded slightly to $312K in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a precipitous shrinkage. Over the period under review, imports of reached the maximum at $1.1M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

Overall, exports showed a sharp shrinkage. The smallest decline of -45.8% was in 2020. Over the period under review, the exports of hit record highs at 30K square meters in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, exports of photographic paper, paperboard and textiles; sensitised, unexposeds shrank dramatically to $8K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a precipitous decline. The smallest decline of -31% was in 2021. Over the period under review, the exports of reached the peak figure at $100K in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
