In 2022, the average export price for phosphinates (hypophosphites), phosphonates (phosphites), phosphates and polyphosphateses amounted to $987 per ton, increasing by 46% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated mild growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.9% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, export price for phosphinates (hypophosphites), phosphonates (phosphites), phosphates and polyphosphateses increased by +108.5% against 2020 indices. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($1,363 per ton), while the average price for exports to Portugal ($353 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Colombia (+27.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In December 2023, the average import price for phosphinates (hypophosphites), phosphonates (phosphites), phosphates and polyphosphateses amounted to $1,934 per ton, with an increase of 22% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, recorded a slight curtailment. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $2,532 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to December 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($5,480 per ton), while the price for Morocco ($590 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+6.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Exports of Phosphinates (Hypophosphites), Phosphonates (Phosphites), Phosphates and Polyphosphates in Turkey
In 2022, approx. 129K tons of phosphinates (hypophosphites), phosphonates (phosphites), phosphates and polyphosphateses were exported from Turkey; with an increase of 21% compared with 2021. Overall, total exports indicated a prominent increase from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +14.7% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +50.8% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 45% against the previous year.
