The average import price for petroleum resins, coumarone, indene or coumarone-indene resins and polyterpenes; in primary formses stood at $2,100 per ton in October 2023, declining by -17.4% against the previous month. Overall, the import price recorded a slight decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 13% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $2,876 per ton in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to October 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($19,129 per ton), while the price for Taiwan (Chinese) ($1,415 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Denmark (+10.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average export price for petroleum resins, coumarone, indene or coumarone-indene resins and polyterpenes; in primary formses amounted to $2,184 per ton, dropping by -10.3% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a noticeable shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 63% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $6,403 per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($4,056 per ton), while the average price for exports to Slovenia ($1,424 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Croatia (+5.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Over the period under review, imports of hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, imports of petroleum resins, coumarone, indene or coumarone-indene resins and polyterpenes; in primary formses surged to $28M in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a resilient expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +16.7% over the last three years.
