In December 2023, the average import price for petroleum coke; (not calcined), obtained from bituminous mineralses amounted to $175 per ton, with a decrease of -8.1% against the previous month. In general, the import price saw a perceptible decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in October 2023 an increase of 13% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $292 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to December 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

The export price peaked at $877 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to December 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Japan ($490 per ton), while the average price for exports to India ($100 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to South Korea (+11.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
