In November 2023, the average export price for paints and varnishes, based on acrylic or vinyl polymers, non-aqueous medium amounted to $9,297 per ton, with a decrease of -2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 when the average export price increased by 25% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $10,585 per ton. From February 2023 to November 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($26,301 per ton), while the average price for exports to Hong Kong SAR ($3,177 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+1.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for paints and varnishes, based on acrylic or vinyl polymers, non-aqueous medium stood at $6,590 per ton in November 2023, waning by -15.2% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated a temperate increase from November 2022 to November 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.2% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
