Price for Non-Alcoholic Beverage, Not Containing Milk in Iraq (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average import price for non-alcoholic beverages, not containing milk amounted to $0.8 per litre, which is down by -51.8% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a slight increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the average import price increased by 92% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $1.6 per litre in 2021, and then dropped dramatically in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($6 per litre), while the price for Iran ($0.4 per litre) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+13.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for non-alcoholic beverages, not containing milk stood at $1.2 per litre in 2022, picking up by 36% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate moderate growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 127% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1.4 per litre. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Jordan ($1.3 per litre), while the average price for exports to the UK ($1.1 per litre) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+61.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Imports of Non-Alcoholic Beverage, Not Containing Milk in Iraq

In 2022, overseas purchases of non-alcoholic beverages, not containing milk were finally on the rise to reach 40M litres for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt curtailment. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at 75M litres in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, non-alcoholic beverage, not containing milk imports rose modestly to $31M in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a abrupt shrinkage. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $56M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
