In 2022, the average import price for niobium, tantalum, vanadium or zirconium ores and concentrateses amounted to $2,881 per ton, with an increase of 35% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 51% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $2,884 per ton in 2012; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Russia.
