In 2022, the average import price for nickel; tubes and pipes, not alloyeds amounted to $49,935 per ton, declining by -50.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a strong increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the average import price increased by 25% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $100,717 per ton, and then fell dramatically in the following year.

As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for China.

From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for China amounted to +5.6% per year.

Imports of Nickel; Tubes and Pipes, Not Alloyed in Serbia

In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in purchases abroad of nickel; tubes and pipes, not alloyeds, when their volume decreased by -88.8% to 108 kg. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 1,064%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 966 kg, and then reduced rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, imports of nickel; tubes and pipes, not alloyeds shrank markedly to $5.4K in 2022. In general, imports recorded a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 1,360% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $97K, and then contracted markedly in the following year.
