The average import price for nickel; tubes and pipes, not alloyeds stood at $102,057 per ton in 2022, waning by -7.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a prominent increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when the average import price increased by 78% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $110,493 per ton in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($658,750 per ton), while the price for Italy ($65,262 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+24.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

After two years of decline, overseas purchases of nickel; tubes and pipes, not alloyeds increased by 11% to 2.7 tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a precipitous descent.

In value terms, imports of nickel; tubes and pipes, not alloyeds rose to $272K in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a sharp descent.
