The average import price for nickel; tubes and pipes, not alloyeds stood at $49,227 per ton in 2022, which is down by -32.4% against the previous year. Overall, the import price recorded a pronounced shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when the average import price increased by 31% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $72,831 per ton in 2021, and then contracted rapidly in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($403,109 per ton), while the price for Germany ($35,540 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
