The average import price for nickel; bars, rods and profiles, not alloyeds stood at $125,537 per ton in 2022, growing by 54% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 268% against the previous year. The import price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($383,964 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($3,091 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
