In December 2023, the average export price for mollusc preparations; snails, other than sea snails, prepared or preserveds amounted to $6,133 per ton, leveling off at the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded a slight decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2023 an increase of 24% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $8,285 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to December 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Hong Kong SAR ($15,700 per ton), while the average price for exports to South Korea ($5,517 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hong Kong SAR (+4.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
