The average export price for mollusc preparations; clams, cockles and arkshells, prepared or preserveds stood at $3,430 per ton in November 2023, jumping by 35% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a noticeable decline. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $4,540 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to November 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Brunei Darussalam ($14,035 per ton), while the average price for exports to Italy ($2,001 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Brunei Darussalam (+0.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The import price peaked at $3,366 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to November 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
