In 2022, the average export price for metals; platinum, unwrought or in powder forms amounted to $30,765,780 per ton, declining by -13.3% against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a pronounced decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 27% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $50,177,130 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($30,855,974 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United States totaled $28,711,321 per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (-4.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
