The average export price for metals; palladium, unwrought or in powder forms stood at $25,893,571 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -27.1% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a noticeable decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 588%. The export price peaked at $43,964,389 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Hong Kong SAR ($29,087,167 per ton), while the average price for exports to Austria amounted to $6,732,000 per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+2.7%).

For the fourth year in a row, Vietnam recorded growth in shipments abroad of metals; palladium, unwrought or in powder forms, which increased by 17% to 7 kg in 2022. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +11.9% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 20%. Over the period under review, the exports of hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.

In value terms, exports of metals; palladium, unwrought or in powder forms declined to $181K in 2022. In general, exports, however, saw a pronounced reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 3.3% against the previous year.
