In November 2023, the average import price for lubricating oil additives; containing petroleum oils or oils obtained from bituminous mineralses amounted to $5,320 per ton, falling by -6.8% against the previous month. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a mild descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 66% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $6,381 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to November 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Brazil ($7,742 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($4,568 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+1.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In November 2023, the average export price for lubricating oil additives; containing petroleum oils or oils obtained from bituminous mineralses amounted to $10,148 per ton, jumping by 52% against the previous month. In general, export price indicated noticeable growth from November 2022 to November 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.6% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on November 2023 figures, export price for lubricating oil additives; containing petroleum oils or oils obtained from bituminous mineralses increased by +69.2% against August 2023 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in July 2023 when the average export price increased by 71% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $12,263 per ton. From August 2023 to November 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Belgium ($21,362 per ton), while the average price for exports to Denmark ($5,026 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Norway (+13.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, imports of lubricating oil additives; containing petroleum oils or oils obtained from bituminous mineralses fell to $46M in 2022. Overall, imports saw a abrupt curtailment. The smallest decline of -2.1% was in 2021.

In value terms, exports of lubricating oil additives; containing petroleum oils or oils obtained from bituminous mineralses reduced to $3.6M in 2022. Overall, exports faced a deep setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 6.1% against the previous year.
