The average export price for liquid margarine and edible mixtures of animal or vegetable fats stood at $1,416 per ton in November 2023, growing by 4.8% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, saw a slight curtailment. The export price peaked at $1,792 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to November 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In November 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to Turkmenistan ($1,663 per ton) and Israel ($1,551 per ton), while the average price for exports to Uzbekistan ($1,269 per ton) and Georgia ($1,272 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Lebanon (-0.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In November 2023, the average import price for liquid margarine and edible mixtures of animal or vegetable fats amounted to $1,446 per ton, which is down by -19.2% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a perceptible shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2023 when the average import price increased by 24% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $2,488 per ton. From June 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Spain ($3,175 per ton), while the price for Indonesia ($1,125 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (-1.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
