In 2022, the average import price for liquefied ethylene, propylene, butylene and butadienes amounted to $641 per ton, with a decrease of -4.3% against the previous year. Overall, the import price recorded a deep contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when the average import price increased by 25% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $1,176 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, imports of liquefied ethylene, propylene, butylene and butadienes fell sharply to $11K in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a significant decline. The smallest decline of -32.7% was in 2021.

In value terms, exports of liquefied ethylene, propylene, butylene and butadienes shrank rapidly to $46K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports faced a dramatic setback. The smallest decline of -45.6% was in 2020.
