The average export price for liquefied ethylene, propylene, butylene and butadienes stood at $609 per ton in November 2023, shrinking by -5.1% against the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in June 2023 when the average export price increased by 3,650% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $24,924 per ton in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to November 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Germany.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Germany amounted to -0.2% per month.

In 2022, the average import price for liquefied ethylene, propylene, butylene and butadienes amounted to $5,514 per ton, picking up by 95% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a abrupt setback. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $22,217 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
