In 2022, the average export price for liquefied ethylene, propylene, butylene and butadienes amounted to $664 per ton, jumping by 75% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average export price increased by 242%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $15,679 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($91,575 per ton), while the average price for exports to China totaled $66,302 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+46.7%).
