The average homogenised composite food preparations import price stood at $4,091 per ton in March 2023, flattening at the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 21% m-o-m. There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In April 2023, the country with the highest price was France ($6,683 per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($2,334 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From April 2022 to April 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Spain (+24.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
