The average export price for halides and halide oxides of non-metals; excluding chlorides stood at $11,917 per ton in 2022, declining by -5.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when the average export price increased by 55%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $23,212 per ton. From 2017 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to the United States ($11,424 per ton) and China ($11,424 per ton), while the average price for exports to Slovakia ($9,871 per ton) and Malaysia ($11,406 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovakia (-2.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Over the period under review, the import price posted a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average import price increased by 50% against the previous year. The import price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($67,539 per ton), while the price for the United States ($30,879 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 64%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.
In value terms, exports of halides and halide oxides of non-metals; excluding chlorides shrank slightly to $352K in 2022. In general, total exports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +16.8% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +59.3% against 2019 indices.
