The average import price for graphite; natural, in powder or in flakeses stood at $2,424 per ton in December 2022, declining by -10.7% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2022 when the average import price increased by 26% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $3,019 per ton in April 2022; however, from May 2022 to December 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($14,280 per ton), while the price for China amounted to $2,394 per ton.
From December 2021 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+6.6%).
