In August 2023, the average export price for granules and powders, of pig iron, spiegeleisen, iron or steels amounted to $828 per ton, which is down by -8.2% against the previous month. Overall, the export price showed a pronounced setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2023 when the average export price increased by 4.4% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $1,128 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to August 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

From December 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hungary (0.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
