In 2022, the average frozen fish and seafood import price amounted to $7,311 per ton, increasing by 16% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($11,574 per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia ($2,711 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Norway (+21.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports of Frozen Fish and Seafood in Israel

In 2022, approx. 62K tons of frozen fish and seafood were imported into Israel; rising by 26% against the previous year's figure. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.2% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years.
