Price for Flour, Meal, and Flakes of Potatoes in the United States (FOB) - 2023
In September 2023, the average export price for flour, meal, and flakes of potatoeses amounted to $1,302 per ton, reducing by -4.6% against the previous month. In general, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 when the average export price increased by 3.5% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1,396 per ton. From March 2023 to September 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In September 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Indonesia ($1,551 per ton) and Japan ($1,368 per ton), while the average price for exports to South Korea ($1,068 per ton) and Canada ($1,230 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Indonesia (+2.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Over the period from December 2022 to September 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 15% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $1,793 per ton in June 2023; afterwards, it flattened through to September 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($2,170 per ton), while the price for Poland ($763 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+7.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
