In November 2023, the average export price for fish fillets; frozen, cod (gadus morhua, gadus ogac, gadus macrocephalus)s amounted to $9,218 per ton, with an increase of 6.3% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2023 when the average export price increased by 14% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $10,072 per ton. From June 2023 to November 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($16,636 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($2,086 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Sweden (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $9,785 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to November 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Sweden ($16,725 per ton), while the price for Germany ($6,194 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+86.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
