The average import price for fish; edible offal, other than shark fins, fish heads, tails and mawses stood at $5,803 per ton in 2022, growing by 10% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 161%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $6,207 per ton. From 2016 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the near future.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($8,486 per ton), while the average price for exports to Taiwan (Chinese) ($2,153 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Vietnam (+50.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
