In 2022, the average import price for fish; edible offal, fish heads, tails and mawses amounted to $2,323 per ton, falling by -42.4% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $14,114 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($1,667 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bulgaria totaled $1,624 per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Lithuania (+20.8%).
