Over the period under review, export price indicated a modest increase from October 2022 to August 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.6% over the last ten-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on August 2023 figures, export price for ferrous waste and scrap; remelting scrap ingots of iron or steels decreased by -21.1% against June 2023 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2023 when the average export price increased by 63% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $601 per ton. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
